3/7/2024-Santa Fe stormed back to win the opening game of the Pecos Spring League 9-8. The Houston Apollos were in total control leading 8-4 until the last inning. Pitching for Santa Fe had Emmanuel Benavidez going 1.2 innings allowing 7 runs. Dom Scotti pitching 2.1 innings allowing 1 run. Tobin Jones came in and pitched two innings allowing no runs which wound help being good enough to get the win.

Pitching for the Houston Apollos showed Shane Brito who went 2.1 innings allowing 4 runs. Humberto Velo pitched 2.2 scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts which looked like would get the win. Andrew Marks came in for the save and got 1 out while allowing 5 runs and 2 hits and 3 walks.

Pierce Khan scored 3 runs for the Apollos. Chris Blyskal went 3-3 with a walk and 3 rbis.

For Santa Fe Rodney Scarver went 3-3 with 3 runs scored. Tobin Jones went 2-2 at the plate.
