The fourth week is complete with the Apollos capturing the league title by defeating the League City Hornets 4-2. The Apollos will qualify as the Coastal Baseball representative for NBC World Series in Wichita. The League City Hornets have clinched 2nd place and qualify as AABC representative for tournament in Dallas with chance to play in Stan Musial World Series in Huntsville. Bob Pfaff was named MVP.

The third week is complete with the League City Hornets going 4-0.
The second week of the season is complete. The Mykawa Hawks got their first victory of the year beating the Houston Apollos and tieing the League City Hornets. Alemeds Academy went 3-1.
Open League Tournament
The first week of the season is complete. Bob Pfaff hit the leagues first home run, Dane Yelovich had the leagues first hit. Casey Newman was the league's first winning pitcher. The Houston Apollos won the first game beating the Alemeds Academy. Kevin Stawson threw the league's first no hitter for South Belt Sox vs Alemeds Academy.
The Coastal Baseball League is an amateur wooden bat baseball league that is affliated with the National Baseball Congress. Teams are mainly in Houston Area and within 100 miles of the Houston Area. The league is non professional and teams are not allowed to play players. All games are played with American League Rules and wooden bats. 70% of the players who play in the league are current college players. The other 30% are former college players and the best high school seniors. The Champion of the Coastal Baseball League has a qualifying spot in the NBC World Series at Lawrence Dumont Stadium in Wichita, Kansas beginning August 2008. The Coastal Baseball League will also send a team to the AABC South Plains Regional in Dallas, Texas in August 2008. The League's main field will be Coastal Park which is located on Beltway 8 South, with games also being played in League City and Dickinson.
